Share Your World - For the First Time

After doing some catch up reading from other blogs, I stumbled across Cee's blog which encourages Bloggers to interact and posts up fun challenges to aid this interaction.

If you want to check out Cee's blog and the many challenges out forwards check it out HERE

My answers to this weeks questions are as follows:

When you cut something with scissors, do you move your jaw (as if you were about to chew)?
I do a little (I thought it was just me being weird!- *edit: it is me that's weird, I've read the other blog answers*), but I also do this while chopping, carving or filing something. Filing is the worst one as I tend to grind my teeth or have my jaw ache from preventing this.

Do you chew your pens and pencils?
I don't really chew them but I do tend to put them in my mouth and hold them in my teeth.

Are you a collector of anything?  If so what?
I'm not a total enthusiast however I do tend to keep any unusual coins when I get them but I don't chase around to collect the whole sets. Oh and I have a few of Lord of the Rings chess/drinks set.

What size is your bed?
Double because I like to pretend I'm a starfish.

What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I'm grateful for workmen turning up when they said they would even though they were grumpy as hell. I'm looking forward to being able to get some time to spend writing and catching up with reading peoples blogs.

The Road Most Travelled

Sometimes we return to the easiest path because it holds the most comfort, even though we can clearly see it's flaws.

Tonight I can write

Dear Diary,

Tonight I can write only the saddest lines, mainly because my glass holds the remnants of the last bottle of wine that sat in my rack. I can write for example of how the world seems to make no sense without you in it to hold me and how the blue skies have only been filled with a dreary grey since the last time I really felt freedom.
I can write about how my face falls as I watch you say goodbye or lie awake for hours on nights that you fall asleep at the foot of your bed, wasted lips on cold bottle tops filled with sticky hops and malt. My hands can only form the words that show how much I envy the brow of your pillow that dares to wriggle free from your arms, and the passing glares of mirror that get to absorb your almost smiles.
Tonight I sit, alone with the scent of denial and all the withering thoughts that tug at my sanity, and whisper your name into my brain. Sounds that only I can hear, images only I can see and ideas that cannot be touched by mortal hands.

Tonight I can only think of the saddest things because I am here and you are nowhere near.

All the other stuff

So what is going to go into this blog if not poetry?

Well all the other things that buzz around in my brain which can vary quite widely so hold on to your hats and enter with an open mind. I guess this is me finally taking stock of things and allowing myself more time to do the things that want to do and share the writing that otherwise just becomes an endless stream of words and rants. This was (I think) what Ginni Bites was going to be originally, but then I found it more useful as an outlet for poetry and nicer thoughts.

I could change things around, yet I don't like to have too much change in my life so I think I shall just work around what I already have and perhaps use this blog for some challenges and prompts, or, well just about anything other than poetry really.

I can even do things like this..

Just add random photos because I can, and return to them later for some inspiration. Wow this is actually quite liberating just writing the words that come into my brain rather than waiting to be in a poetic mood. I now dub this my inspiration blog and am going to allow myself to have some fun with it.

I'm suddenly looking forward to February.
